I am here at the Direct Response Expo. An increible portal to wolrd that people don’t understand very much. All we see in TV are the ads, but people don’t understand that behind that 30 min commercial is a person with a vision, a vision of something that will help more people. And after that is when the infomercial machine starts. You have promoters like Billy Mase (who was here) then production houses, media buying companies and many fullfilmeny houses that ship you ideas and charge for it, sending you a nice check.

What a world.
]After hearing from Wolfram Alpha for a long time in many podcast, it finally went online last week. It is a great tool to get information. It is not a Google killer at all, it is more of a supplemental search option. It is very different that Google and I guess you just need to learn how to use it. If you try to search specific terms or names, you might not get anything. It took me a long time to understand how it works but once you realize all the information that you can get using it, it should be pretty usefull for research. Also, de way it displays the information is really nice, very clear and easy to understand the results.

Since we are doing a few iPhone applications, today we got a nice email from Apple asking us to test Push Notification using a specific application. We installed it and twenty minutes later we got our first Notification.
For now, it is working great, seamlessly and the very easy to use.
When first run, the application asks you if you want to get notifications. And that is it. You start getting them soon. I am looking forward to many applications that will provide this services, but I am afraid to start getting alerts ALL THE TIME…
UPDATE: I am working on my computer and listening to an NPR podcast, and I just heard a little nice sound and a new Notification came in. No Problems whatsoever.
Hello All. We finished “El Clon”. It looks great and now is on its way to Mexico for promotion.
Enjoy.

I came to visit the ProPhoto Expo. I have to say it is a great place to see what is new in the event photography community. What is amazing here is that I can’t see any film equipment. It is all digital. There are some cool toys like tili camera lenses. Some great bags from Lowerpro and I really like the bag from Shootsac

I love “Leverage”. It is a great show. I started to watch the show around the third episode so I went were everybody goes to find the ones I missed: The internet. First place to look: the TNT website. www.tnt.tv But to my surprised I couldn’t see any of the videos. Why? Because I have a Mac. So I went to the Q&A to find a solution. To my surprise this is what I found:

I guess that someone from Microsoft told them that their DRM scheme is the only one that works…And that Hulu, Joost and others are wrong.
Hello All. This post has nothing to do with Video, Film, advertising or photography; it is just something I found online while killing some time. I decided to Google Reddit to see if there was an iPhone version of the website. And this is what I found:

What I liked was the first category below the description… PRIORITIES…
Last nights was a long one. The rain pushed us back a couple of hours before we started shooting “El Clon”. It was a challenging project since we didn’t have the resouses we need. At the end I think it will look great.
Here are some pictures after the jump
I am a big fan of Pin Hole Photography. I learned about it in college and it is the way photography started. There is a great article on Pin Hole Cameras in Wikipedia (Click “Here” for link) and instructions of how to make them and use them.
I recently found this image from the Pin Hole photographer, Justin Quinnell. It is a beautifull picture of “The Clifton Suspension Bridge” in Bristol, England. Justin not only takes pinhole photographs, his photos are based on very long exposures. This one is a 6 month exposure.
